RUSAL launches 1st stage of Taishet aluminum plant

TAISHET, Irkutsk Region, Dec 17 (PRIME) -- Russian aluminum producer RUSAL has launched the first 100 billion ruble stage of the Taishet aluminum plant, according to information obtained by PRIME on Friday.

The project was financed by using the company’s own funds and a syndicated credit of 30 billion rubles from VTB Bank and 15 billion rubles from Gazprombank.

The stage has a capacity of 428,500 tonnes annually.
